Ultrasound #2

We got to see Muffin via ultrasound again this afternoon.  He or she is measuring 8 weeks 6 days, but on paper I'm 9 weeks, 2 days.  The nurse gave us an official due date of June 6, 2020.  

At our last ultrasound, the baby's heart rate was 158 bpm.  Today the fetal heart rate was 175 bpm.  The nurse said that they are happy with anything over 100 and that the heart rate will slow down as the rapid rate of development slows just a bit.  So a high heart rate is not a concern.  

After the ultrasound, Dr. Young came into the room.  He said we have graduated from Mid-Iowa Fertility and my care will continue with my regular OB/GYN.  I have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Kaufman for Tuesday, November 19.  This will be an appointment with the doctor and another ultrasound.  We are thrilled to get to see Muffin so many times!

Dr. Young also said that we can reduce my Progesterone shot from 1 cc to .5 cc each night.  This will allow us to stretch the last of our supply to last until November 21 without needing to refill the prescription.  He said that the placenta has taken over Progesterone production at this point, and they just like to continue the injections for security.  That made us feel very good!
