Sonohysterogram
This morning I had a sonohysterogram - the first appointment in the embryo transfer process. The nurse used a catheter and water to practice placing an embryo in my uterus. This helps them to know exactly where to drop the embryo for the most optimal transfer conditions. It is a painless procedure and the only after-effect is the slow leak of water as it makes a vaginal exit over the course of the next several hours.
For now I will keep taking a prenatal, vitamin d, and baby aspirin. The next event on my med calendar will be the addition of estrogen patches. These few weeks will go slowly and quickly at the same time!
