Public Announcement

We spent Thanksgiving in Minneapolis with Kelly and Jeremy.  Michael, Averie, and Brylie also came.  We arrived Wednesday night and stayed through Saturday afternoon.  On Thursday morning, Kelly took some photos for us to use for a social media announcement.  I posted the photos to Facebook and Instagram to share the news with our wider circle of family and friends.  We got many messages of heartfelt congratulations throughout the weekend!

We spent Thursday at Kelly and Jeremy's house - clearing snow from the sidewalks (Eric), playing in the snow (Gavin), watching the parade on TV, cooking, and eating pretty constantly.  Friday we went to the theater and saw Frozen II.  It was well-done, but Gavin was pretty spooked at times.  At the end of the movie, he said, "That was GREAT!"  But in the days since, he has said, "I don't want to watch Frozen II anymore," several times.  Friday afternoon I had a bridesmaid dress appointment at Bella Bridal and my dress style has been decided.  And Saturday morning we went out for breakfast and visited the Minnesota Children's Museum (just our family and Kelly and Jeremy).  There was a lot to check out and Gavin had a blast!  We stopped at Chick-Fil-A on our way home, and arrived back in Des Moines in time for dinner.
