No More Shots!

Today marks 12 weeks and we get to finish the IVF medications!  I have been taking oral Estrogen and baby Aspirin and we've been doing a Progesterone in oil shot every evening since the last week of June.  Tonight was the last night for all of that!  I have never actually watched Eric give me a Progesterone shot for two reasons: I can't acutally physically see my rear end while I'm lying down and trying to relax and I didn't really want to see the whole process while we still had many, many shots to get through.  Since last night was the last shot, I took a video of the actual injection.  It was interesting to see, but I'm glad I was unaware of what it looked like until now.

The injection site bled more than usual, which was upsetting to Eric, but no big deal to me.  I was just so thrilled it was the last one!  We still need to find a way to celebrate the end of this chapter.

Now I will take my prenatal vitamin and vitamin D until my first OB visit (in 10 days).  At that appointment I'll ask the doctor whether or not I should continue the vitamin D.  It seems like such a simple regemin compared to prenatal, vitamin D, Estrogen, and baby Aspirin in the morning and Estrogen and Progesterone in oil in the evening.

The final syringe (and watch and ring for scale).
