Beginning Preparations
This week, Gavin and I tested positive for Covid. So Gavin, Elsie, and I have been home all week quarantining. Much of the week was spent playing, feeding kids, and resting when possible. But I also spent a little time packing my hospital bag and making a list of things we need to do before the baby arrives.
Probably our biggest task is to get the nursery ready. Our crib may or may not arrive before Chocolate Chip is born, but the dresser arrived today. I have order a few things to decorate the room. And we already have the rocking chair. Now we need to get the closet emptied and re-organized, order the things on our Amazon and Target registries, and get our baby things out of storage so we can wash them and put them away.
The dresser was delivered today, so we will work on getting some of that done this weekend. And the rest will get done piece by piece over the next 6 weeks or so. Elsie was born at 38+4, so I'd like to have everything in place by 38 weeks if possible.
