9 Weeks

This week the baby is as big as a cherry (almost one inch long and still weighing fractions of an ounce).  This week he or she has developed ear lobes, clear fingers and toes, and a tiny little nose.  And the baby's elbows can bend!  The head still accounts for approximately half of the body, though.  

Supposedly, this is the week during which pregnancy symptoms can be most severe because hCG is at its peak.  I'll admit to having nausea off and on throughout the day and plead the fifth regarding mood swings...

I have been thinking about how to announce this baby's impending arrival and need to place an order for whatever we want to use.  We're thinking of announcing Labor Day weekend (when I am 12 weeks), which is only three weeks away!
