9 Weeks

9 weeks today!  Our baby has graduated from an embryo to a fetus.  This means that the major body organs (brain, heart, lungs) and arms and legs have been formed, and are now growing and developing.  Toes are even visible!  The baby is now the size of a cherry or a green olive, almost one inch long, but still weighing less than an ounce.  

Even though Muffin is still so tiny, I'm starting to notice a change in my belly.  The past few weeks I have felt bloated, but this week I feel different.  Though you can't see an obvious bump, my clothes are starting to fit differently (pants and definitely bras) and I can see a tiny swell of the abdomen.  

Three more days until our  next ultrasound!
