5 Weeks

At 5 weeks, Muffin is as big as an orange seed.  This seems tiny, but it's multiple times larger than the poppy seed it was last week!  The heart is beginning to form and beat.  The digestive system, spinal cord, and brain are also beginning to form.  

We haven't talked a lot about the pregnancy or done much reading or research.  Now that we have been through this before, we know that we have plenty of time to prepare (although it does go faster than you think).  It's also difficult to talk about it because we aren't telling Gavin until we are ready to make the news public.  We are so excited to tell him that he's going to be a big brother.  He already brings up babies randomly and states that he wants to have a brother AND a sister.  We'll see what we can do about that!
