18 Weeks

Today the baby is as big as an artichoke (or a cucumber, depending on your source).  The baby is about 5.5 inches long and 6.5 ounces in weight.  Muffin is spending his or her days yawning, hiccuping, sucking, swallowing, twisting, rolling, punching, and kicking.  The baby's nervous system is forming more complex connections.  The nerves in the brain are developing into the nerves that will allow Muffin to feel, taste, smell, see, and hear.  

My bump seems to be growing each day, but it isn't super noticeable to the "untrained eye" yet.  I can tell a difference, though!
