10 Weeks

Well, we're a quarter of the way there!  10 weeks is 2 months, 1 week pregnant, or starting the 3rd month.  I haven't had too many intense pregnancy symptoms (nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headaches, food aversions, constipation, heartburn), but those should appear even less after a few more weeks.  While my clothes aren't fitting much differently, I can tell that my lower abdomen is starting to round a little bit - and my boobs have definitely grown!  They feel heavy and I have a couple of bras that I've officially benched this week.

Muffin is busy growing, too.  The baby is the size of a strawberry, measuring just over an inch long.  He or she has working arm joints, fully developed vital organs, and is starting to grow fingernails and hair.  Teeny tooth buds are even starting to develop under the gums!

In the next 3 weeks, the baby's body length will almost double, so there is no slowing down yet.  Our next ultrasound is Tuesday, November 19, so we will see how much Muffin has grown and changed in the 2 weeks between that appointment and our last appointment at Mid-Iowa Fertility.
